Kennedy's Trip to Hawaii

First of all, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO RIAN & MEG! Here's a video of their trip to Hawaii! Check the lazy turtles and seals-- they remind me of myself laying on the beach!

The Week of 11/13

Hi everyone,

Rob here. Hey, this last week found so much going on in the MLG. David was with lil David in New York for his audition at NYU, Debbie was in Las Vegas with her Mom, Sister and Brother-in-Law, Tracey was in Arlington, VA for work and I was auditioning for the Public Address Announcer position for the NBA team. I apologize for not being able to get back to Newport to open up the Miller house for LG-- it was a rather hectic and unexpected day.

I wanted to thank all of you for your prayers regarding this PAA position with the NBA team. I ended up meeting some key people and was offered the secondary/backup position which says a lot. The candidate they ended up selecting is a seasoned professional with an extensive background in sports announcing and voice-over work. He definitely deserved the position because he was good! I'm not bummed at all-- I'm just surprised to be held in such company. I'm hoping that all of you can get online and read this stuff!

In Him,

Rob

"Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him!"

The words of Job have been ringing in my heart today. There is no words to describe how difficult it is as a mother, to know that your child might be sick and there's nothing you can do about it. Today Cassidy is being tested for Cystic Fibrois, and naturally Josh and I are both feeling very anxious and afraid. NEVERTHELESS. If God chooses to give us and Cassi, this cross to bear, then we will never stop trusting Him. We are praying that she will not test positive, and so if I do hear that she has C.F. then I know I will naturally feel "slain." I can think of nothing worse than being her mom and yet being unable to protect her from the effects of this disease. And yet, I will never stop trusting, never stop believing that "He doeth all things well" whether it makes sense to us or not!! "Some trust in horses, some in chariots, but we WILL trust in the Name of the Lord our God!"Christy

History and Monuments

It's exciting to see that the Miller Life Group (MLG) has been in existence since August 2002 (at least according to my worship guitar sheets-- yeah, I know that these sheets are sooooo official)! I really want to start this in order to keep a running history of the MLG. Hopefully, all of you can contribute to this site memories, prayers, stories, poems, life events, and of course, MIRACLES, SIGNS and WONDERS of our King!

We had the Regehrs (Jason, Trisha, JJ and now James), the Peary's (who now reside in New Zealand), Jason and Amber (formerly, Stout) Cronin, Bruce, Deidra, Cory & Mindy Nacke (in Illinois) and others who's season with our group seemed too short, but nonetheless are part of the history today. Post and publish your comments-- PLEASE. I love reading about what the Lord is doing in your lives-- build our community, encourage each other, and let's all pursue the Lord, TOGEHTER. Let these things you share be the monuments for all of us to see.

In His divine grace,
Rob
